Useful properties of calendula:
Most of all, oak bark is valued for the fact that it contains a huge amount of tannins and flavonoids. They are biologically active substances with a pronounced antioxidant effect. And also, they have a positive effect on the entire body: they maintain skin elasticity, protect cells from destruction, forming a kind of protective barrier, thereby preventing the rapid aging of the body.
Oak bark has astringent, anti-inflammatory, disinfectant, bactericidal and antifungal properties. Anti-inflammatory properties for external and internal use are based on the astringent and denaturing action of proteins.
The content of gallic acid and its derivatives explain the disinfectant, anti-hemorrhagic and anti-radiation properties of the oak bark. The ability of this agent to increase density and reduce the permeability of the vascular wall is also associated with them. The combination of gallic acid and catechins gives the oak bark antiprotozoal, antimicrobial medicinal properties. The experiment revealed a decrease in juice secretion and an improvement in gastric motility, a decrease in total acidity.
